Circuit Breakers – When Amazon Is NOT The Best Place To Buy

As the world changes, so do the ways in which we shop. With technology constantly evolving many people have begun to do a lot of their shopping online. When there is the option to shop from sites like Amazon, who seemingly carry any and every product available, it streamlines life and makes shopping for hard to find items a lot easier. Having the ability to get some of your groceries and clothes and a baby seat all in one place makes life a whole lot easier. It would appear, on the surface at least, that buying everything from a site like this is a no-brainer. So what about Circuit Breakers? Maybe safety is another factor we should consider as well.

Benefits of a Specialty Service

While there’s truth to a lot of what was just mentioned, occasionally purchasing a product that requires more thought from a place like this is a little risky. While a site like Amazon caters to everyone, it lacks the specific advice and personal touch some of these products require. Buying certain things, like circuit breakers for instance, require knowledge to ensure the right product is being purchased for specific jobs. Some buying circuit breakers know what they’re looking for, many others, however, do not. Going into Amazon and arbitrarily purchasing a circuit breaker in the hopes that it will get the job done is not a smart way to operate.

When purchasing circuit breakers, whether new or reconditioned, there needs to be a certain expectation that it’s the right product for the job and that it’s going to work to the levels expected. Where sites like Amazon fall short is ensuring that all of these prerequisites are met. Amazon does a lot of things extremely well, offering nuanced advice and guidance specific to circuit breakers doesn’t happen to be one of them.

Why Choose Breakers from Civic Recycling?

When purchasing a circuit breaker, doing so from a place that specializes in such products is the best plan of attack. There are a number of reasons why looking at sites like our own, Civic Recycling, specializes in circuit breakers and have an intimate knowledge the products, will bear fruit in the long run. There are a number of reasons why specialty sites will be beneficial when purchasing products such as these, and here are a few of them:

National Electricity Month #NEM

June is National Electricity Month, and here at Civic Recycling, we are proud to supply equipment across Canada that powers you! As you may well know we supply a wide range of circuit breakers, panels, transformers, fuses and general electrical supplies. With brands like Cutler-Hammer, Federal Pioneer Electric and Siemens you can be sure both our new and tested reconditioned equipment will last.

The Canadian Electricity Association posted an article in this about this special month, we really enjoyed the following:

“Electricity is the backbone of the Canadian economy – it powers everything from household appliances to medical technology, smart phones, computers, to bank machines, businesses, and stores…the CEA hopes to foster a national conversation on the value of electricity, stimulating and informing the discussion about the choices that need to be made today if Canada is to maintain a reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity grid.”

So let’s all celebrate this month by sharing a little love for electricity and the equipment that delivers it to us. Creating a sustainable and innovative future for the grid is also important. We talked about this topic in a previous article titled Electric Innovation and Action in Canada.

We Carry Obselete Brands just for you!

warehouse civic recycling breakers parts supplies shelfs shelves stock electrical equipment We Carry Obselete Brands

“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” can be valuable advice to any enterprise trying to keep a close eye on business expenditures, but if it is broken, you’ll want it fixed in the most efficient way possible. For older electrical equipment that has performed well into old-age but is now showing signs of fatigue and is maybe halfway to the bone yard, the first idea for getting things back to normal may be replacement. Replacement of your older systems with new, higher-tech (albeit more expensive) equipment, though, is only one potential solution. An alternative would be to fix existing equipment back to proper working order, if possible. At Civic Recycling we carry Obselete Brands!

Reconditioned as Good as New

Why replace an entire system when only small parts of it are giving you trouble? Repairing instead of replacing is almost always the less expensive route to take. It takes less time and money to replace a single bad breaker with a high-quality (though obsolete) reconditioned one than it takes to replace an entire panel. In addition, having access to lightning-quick service like we provide here at Civic Recycling can save an operation a great deal of down time, providing more savings.

What’s It Going to Take?

If you’re dealing with equipment that’s gone out-of-date or been discontinued, proper parts can be difficult to locate/obtain. That’s where a specialist dealing in obsolete electrical equipment becomes so important. Finding obsolete parts like circuit breakers from Bulldog, Sylvania, Commander, CEB, Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, GE, ITE, Square D, Siemens and Taylor is certainly possible, especially for someone able to surf the Internet for potential providers. Once your item has been found, however, it’s critical that you ensure it’s been properly refurbished, tested and certified to perform as it should. A written guarantee is also a plus. Our surplus supply will make sure you always have what you need.

Consult the Certified Specialists in New and Used Electrical Equipment

Being certified in reconditioning and testing used, obsolete equipment is no small deal. Our technicians are PEARL-certified. This sets us apart from all our Canadian competitors. PEARL, the Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League, is approved by ANSI, the American National Standards Institute, setting regulatory standards longer than anyone, as an accredited Standards Developer.

Our technicians are trained and experienced in totally reconditioning used and obsolete breakers, repairing where needed, testing, certifying and then guaranteeing each unit we sell for a year’s time. When you need new and used electrical equipment, think of being civic and, when possible, recycling! Call us.
